Your next steps
- Confirm eligibility
Use a Niagara Falls residential address and eligible vehicle ownership.
- Apply with plates
Provide the ownership copies for up to two household plates.
- Wait for approval
Allow one to three days. Follow the pass limits after approval.
Apply and renew
Complete the Resident Convenience Parking Pass application and provide ownership copies for each plate as residency evidence. Up to two plates can be listed per household. Allow one to three days for processing. The fee is due at pickup; consult the current Schedule of Fees.
Existing passes renew through the At Your Service portal. A vehicle or plate change needs updated proof of ownership. Outstanding parking violations must be paid before a pass is issued. Business-registered vehicles are excluded even when the driver lives in Niagara Falls.
Use the pass within its limits
Display it clearly in the vehicle. The allowance is two consecutive hours at an on-street paid area. You cannot restart another stay in the same zone after using those two hours. The city says the daily allowance in that zone and space is exhausted.
The pass does not reserve a space and does not work in city lots, private lots or Niagara Parks Commission properties. Niagara Parks is a separate operator; a resident city pass is not a Falls-attraction parking pass. Other posted restrictions and city bylaws continue to apply.
Expiry replacements and cancellations
The pass expires December 29, not December 31. A damaged pass can be exchanged free when brought in. A lost pass has an administration fee, and an NSF cheque also incurs an administration fee.
The city can cancel the pass without notice and disclaims responsibility for loss or damage to the vehicle or contents. Record the displayed expiry and renew before relying on another year of parking.
